花の民に会いに行く

彼女たちの美しさの根源はどこにあるのでしょう。

最初に出会った85歳の女性は、木の下でひたすら先のリンポチェ(チベット仏教の高僧)の逝去を悼み、祈っていました。
若い頃から、毎日欠かさず身に付けている複数のターコイズの指輪やネックレス、耳飾り、そして花やホオズキを散りばめた髪飾り。

ラダックを、インダス川に沿って西へ西へ。
現地でドゥクパと呼び習わされている”アーリアン・トライブ”の村へ行ってきました。

このDah村では、皆が敬虔な仏教徒であり、同時にデプタと呼ばれる土着の神様も信仰していました。

この旅についてはもう少し掘り下げていけたらと思っています。

Where is the root of their beauty?

The first 85-year-old woman I met was mourning and praying for the death of Rinpoche (a high priest of Tibetan Buddhism) under the tree.

Since she was young, she has been wearing several turquoise rings, necklaces, earrings, and hair ornaments studded with flowers and winter cherries.

I went to the village of “Arrian Tribe”, which is called “dukupa” locally.

In this Dah village, everyone was a devout Buddhist, and at the same time, they also believed in an indative god called Depta.
